What is Acne?
Acne is the most common skin disease in adolescence and for many, it can continue into adulthood (20% men and 35% women). It typically affects the areas where there is the densest population of sebaceous glands and hair follicles (face, upper arms, shoulders, upper chest and the back).
Though pimples are not dangerous, they can leave some ugly scars and pigmentation behind. Successful acne treatment varies from individual to individual. At Skinsecrets, we offer an array of treatments that include both topical and oral medications, along with peels, lasers, injections and LED light therapy.
Besides eliminating the root cause of acne, the goal of the treatment is to minimise the damage caused by pimples, such as open pores, scars, and pigmentation.
