Revlite is a versatile, new-generation, non- invasive, Gold standard Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser, that gently stimulates skin’s natural collagen along with destruction of abnormal concentration of pigment. This allows it to perform non-ablative skin resurfacing, pore size reduction, wrinkle and acne scar reduction. It is proven effective in the treatment of pigmented lesions including melasma, birth marks, sun spots, removal of full colour spectrum tattoo inks.
How does Revlite work?
Melanin is what gives our skin,its colour. The amount of melanin in your skin, determines your complexion. Dark pigmented lesions appear so, because of abnormal concentration of melanin. This could be due to aging, genetic factors, excessive damage due to sun’s harsh ultra violet rays etc.
During the treatment, a gentle laser light, emitted in very short pulses, is passed through the upper layers of skin, to break down pigmented lesions into smaller particles without damaging the surrounding normal tissue. This laser heat stimulates collagen growth, deep beneath your skin. After destroying the abnormal concentration of melanin, there occurs some whitening as the treatment continues on normal skin.
Is this treatment painful?
The impact of the Revlite laser light on the skin is similar to the snap of a thin rubber band. Post treatment, the area will look slightly red which disappears in a few hours.
What is the downtime?
Initially, a mild erythema or redness is to be expected in the treated area. This usually subsides within 30 minutes after the treatment, depending on the settings used. Patients may resume with normal activities except for heavy work out and use of certain medications or other products that makes the skin sensitive to light. A post treatment care instruction will be provided for every patient every after Revlite treatment.
How many sessions do i need?
It is recommended to have at least 4-6 treatments spaced at 2-4 weeks apart for best results. Some deeper lesions require more number of sessions. Common pigmented lesions do not return. Some birth marks may return after a period of several months to years. After desired results are achieved, many choose to come back for touch-up sessions to prevent recurrence.

When do I start to see the results?
How fast the skin improves or the pigments lighten would depend on how the skin will react to the Q-Switched Nd:Yag treatment as the body disposes of the pigments through the lymphatic drainage. Although you may see some immediate improvement in your skin, results tend to show more gradually with repeated sessions spaced at aforementioned intervals. Immediate results in areas like the face and armpits are improved texture and whitened hair.
